Bringing German Art to Beijing: KION Group Sponsors Exhibition and Linde Salon Brings more Fun

Germany 8, the most comprehensive exhibition of German contemporary art to be held ineight major art museums across China’s capital city – Beijing from Septembertill October 2017. As sponsors, the KION Group have helped to bring thisproject to fruition.
Around 320art works by 55 artists are being displayed. The aim of the exhibition is togive the Chinese public a representative insight into contemporary German artsince the 1950s and an opportunity to experience Germany and its culturaldiversity through the prism of art.
On September18, KION Group’s brand company Linde (China) held a customer event in the CAFAMuseum, one of the eight host museums for the exhibition. Linde nationwide keycustomers, industrial experts and medias came together to enjoy all the manyartworks on a guided tour and participate in the ‘Linde Coffee Salon’.
During thisevent, Linde brought two units of an old 1960’s classic truck and anew-generation electric forklift truck with shape of Porsche Design to CAFA.Linde guests all are interested in and get their photos taken together. Experts in industrial design will share theirexpertise in how to combine art and design with industrial engineering andprocesses, while customer representatives will be talking about theirexperiences in building state-of-the-art ‘smart’ factories. Ching Pong Quek,President of KION Asia-Pacific and a KION Executive Board member, explains thatthe company is embracing a unique opportunity to involve its customers in thiscultural exchange by presenting the Linde Salon at the Central Academy of FineArts (CAFA) Museum. He added that, during its 24 years in China, Linde had alsobenefited from both cultures and the interplay between them.
We believethat this binational event will not only further showcase to the public ourcommitment to developing the relationship between enterprises cooperation, butwill also be a bridge to strengthen the friendship between the two countries.
