The second “World of Material Handling” ended on 25th May with a new record number of visitors: Over 7,000 guests from about 50 countries. Modern lightweight halls of the exhibition provided the setting for a comprehensive look at the future of intralogistics.
Individual guided tours and presentations, live demonstrations, and plenty of “touch & feel” around the future issues of Connectivity, Automation, Energy Systems and Individualisation made for a comprehensive technical program that was tailored to different visitor interests. The visitors, in addition to learning about numerous new hardware and software solutions for industrial trucks, had the opportunity to learn about the latest developments in adjacent areas, too.
“Our customers were thrilled with the new solutions on offer. Their feedback confirms that we are focussing on just the right future issues,” said Christophe Lautray, CSO of Linde Material Handling, “Many customers are challenged to use the opportunities of increasing connectivity and digitisation for their materials handling tasks. We were able to present ourselves as a partner who perfectly understands these challenges and is therefore up to developing, offering and adjusting forward-looking solutions for a variety of industrial segments. At the same time, it was obvious that the open and frank talks with our customers are based on long-term, reliable and cooperative relationships. The enthusiasm and motivation of the Linde team to achieve the best performance for every customer has been highly commended by our guests.” As a result, various major international customers placed orders there and then at the exhibition, adding up to a volume of several hundred units.
Linde want to help customers to reduce their process costs, optimise throughput times and improve process quality. This requires an intensive, ongoing dialogue in order to develop and offer precisely the right products, services and solutions. “The World of Material Handling makes a valuable contribution in this context because it concentrates all the latest from Linde Material Handling, offering our customers a chance to gain solid information during their visit and talk with us about their future requirements. This is crucial input for us.” said Andreas Krinninger, CEO and CFO of Linde Material Handling, in conclusion.
